Not sure but getting the clock back is easy. Just right click on the taskbar and "Add to Panel", hunt through the list for "Clock", click on "Add" - then right click on the clock and choose "Move". Some other items may have to be unlocked via the right click before you can move past them.

Good luck with this

Are there problems other than just the clock missing? Have you managed to get the clock back yet?

In trying to get the clock back, I went to customize and it doesn't have a clock in it. I don't want to "add a new tool bar" because I don't want screw up again.
I really don't know what the update was, because I trusted the update that came on the top panel, as they always do. Now the only thing on the top bar is: file, edit, view, history, bookmarks, tools, and help. I hope I don't have to uninstall Ubuntu and reinstall, which would be the third time.
