clock 90 degrees off...

Asked by Kevin Brubeck Unhammer

Is there a way to make the clock not rotate sideways when on a vertical panel? I think it used to be horizontal in Hoary, but I'm not sure...

also I feel the battery on the battery-meter should be sideways on vertical panels, otherwise it's just taking up annoying space.

I don't think you can but may be wrong. With regards to the battery-meter, switching to compact view should make it bearable but is not the best.

Kevin-

If Dave Meikle's comment answered your question, please consider closing this ticket.

It looks like you are pretty good at finding bugs. If this bug still exists in Dapper, I would encourage you to add to the existing bug report (if it exists) or file a new one so that more people can benefit from a future fix.

Thanks

I'd love to see the above problems fixed in vertical mode. I have feisty installed and its still a problem.

As well as
- gawdie size of the show desktop button. its nice to have around but at 3 square inches, it's a bit much.
- max number of windows displayable can increase, but they seem to crowd into (stay within) 60% of my screen height.

Can you help with this problem?
