wireless icon lost

I've removed from my gnome-bar the new ubuntu wireless icon that allow me to select, connect/disconnect choosing a net. I tried to right-click on the bar and select "add", there is only an icon called "network monitor" but i can't find the icon i want.
How can I do?

Try to do this in a shell:

:$nm-applet --sm-disable

close the shell windows.
The icon start to work on the gnome-bat with this comand ???

When I do the same error with Ubuntu 6.10 I have installed newly all network-manager packages. But it is not a good idea.
You go into sistem-->preferences-->sessions, click on start program and you control if is presente this: "nm-applet --sm-disable"
If no, you do "add" and copy this comand on the windows open. Then restart gnome.

I tried to add mn-app...but nothing happens.
Now I've risolved my problem adding notification icon.. It was so stupid :)

I have the same problem (I accidentally remove the wireless icon from the panel). Now I discover how it is easy to solve this: add to panel the notification icon. That is all! I wasted a lot of time before I realized that the notification icon can be used for the so important wireless network, including the list of current available networks.
