task list on panel?

Asked by Babette

When I minimize a page, like a game or another website, yahoo or my I.m. it just disappears instead of going down to the panel at the bottom like it used to. I see a previous question referring to putting a task list on my panel (?) but i dont see how to do that...

Hi, Babette. Are you using gnome (in Ubuntu) or XFCE (in Xubuntu)?

If you right click on the pannel, and choose "Add to Panel", pick the "window list" applet and click "add". You can put it at the bottom panel, or at the top if you like.

All sorts of applets are available through that method, like a weather applet or custom application launchers.
