tray icons (almost) vanish in gnome panel

Some tray icons vanish (almost), for example Azureus' and Kopete's tray icons. Though sometimes it works.

Only a one pixel wide stripe is left over.

Is this problem known, and can it be fixed?

You are probably better off searching for an existing bug that matches this behaviour, or if one isn't found, filing this as a bug rather than a support request:-

In fact bug 45000 looks like a good candidate.
