Finaly got wow to run in ubuntu 7.10 but...

It lags bad in wine for some reason! I mean i am on the lowest possible graphic setting and it lags just the same as it does on the high settings. I am using wine to run wow off my windows partition.
Any advice?

P.s. i just installed ubuntu last night and i am a linux n00b

you should try reading other peoples experiances with world of warcraft in wine from here: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=1922

and you might want to consider upgrading to a newer version of wine by following this: http://winehq.org/site/download-deb
