How could I get back a icon from the panel after removing it

I always was able to see my kopete icon lying in the panel after shutting down the kopete window as it's running in system tray. For curiosity, I just tried to see what would happen if i clicked 'remove from panel'....well, now the problem comes. I cant make the icon to be back in the panel again. I failed to find any configuration making this happen in kopete. Also I tried to use 'add to panel' after clicking the panel, but seems i cant get the option to add an icon of some program already running in system, but the launcher. It's really unconvinient.

So, could anyone help me here? thanks a lot.

Have you removed the notification area (e the system tray)? Try right clicking on the panel -> "add to panel" and then choose "notification area" under "utilities".

Ok, this is my situation: I deleted the panel, the tray, I have no idea how to even turn of my session. How do I display back my Panel, System Tray & utilities? Thx
