Applications, system, date/time, logoff, signal tool bar missing after update

Asked by cheryl styron

There was a toolbar at the top of the screen with Applications, System, a few other things, date/time, icon for logging off, and ip signal indicator. It is gone now and I cannot figure out how to get it back. Please help! Thanks, Cheryl.

Cheryl Styron, assuming your in GNOME you may copy and paste the following in the Terminal:

gconftool --recursive-unset /apps/panel && pkill gnome-panel && killall gnome-panel
