Shortcut to show the desktop?

Asked by Nicolas

Hi,
I love the "desktop show" plugin that comes with compiz fusion (ubuntu 7.10) but I just can't find a way to put a shortcut on that function.

What I would like is to affect either a keyboard shortcut, or that the desktop shows when the mouse gets to a corner of the screen, (a shortcut that does the same as when you click on the "show desktop" button in the panel) you see what I mean?

I tried getting a shortcut through 2 things:
* the compiz-fusion manager
* configuring the "show desktop" button in the panel
in vain :(

Hi !

you need to install the package compizconfig-settings-manager

then, an "adcanced" button will appear in the appearance panel of the gnome control center. click on it, you will be able to tweak every aspect of compiz

Hope that helps

you will find this in the compiz-settings manager, under "general options" tab "actions" ->"general" and something like hide windows and show desktop
