Asked by Ben

After removing EVOLUTION (and related libraries, etc.) in Synaptic Package Manager, I can no longer access system settings, appearance, about me, keyboard shortcuts, etc. When I removed Evolution, I partially removed the GNOME icon bar- just so the mail icon menu wouldn't display Evolution tasks.- it doesn't, but now i have other issues

I am assuming that I need to re-install some packages, but since I didn't write down which ones I removed (don't make this mistake) i dont know which ones.

thanks for your help

sudo apt-get install gnome-panel

You needed to keep evolution-data-server-common as it is a dep of gnome-panel (go figure). Should be ok
