top bar missing when launching macbuntu

I have 2 8600 nvidia graphics cards in SLI configuration but when using macbuntu the top bar is missing.

Press ALT+F2 and run:

emerald --replace

Does it reappear? I'm guessing you mean the window decorator, and not the gnome panel at the top of the screen.

The missing bar is the gnome panel at the top of the screen, the docky bar at the bottom of the screen is ok.

Then say the gnome panel, it's a lot clearer and helps you get helped faster. Leaving stuff ambiguous means people have to either guess which may make things worse, or ask for clarification which adds extra time to getting YOUR OS straighened out. Please be clearer in future.

 gconftool --recursive-unset /apps/panel && killall gnome-panel

Will reset the panels to default settings and you can configure as you desire.
