Internet connection is slow after upgrading from 7.04 t0 7.10.

Asked by Leroy Wolins

I have submitted a Bug, 157587, on 10-26, describing the problem. Basically, my internet connection became dysfunctional after upgrading from 7.04 to 7.10. Ubuntu 7.10 functioned well until I added a bunch of audio and video programs, but, after removing most of them, the connection became unusable.

I have available a 7.10 disk. So I could uninstall and reinstall the Gutsy Gibbon. Would this be a problem for you, if I did? Would this procedure have a chance of solving my problem?

I managed to submit this question by disconnecting the wireless USB adapter and connecting this computer directly to the modem. Even so, connecting is very slow.

Thank you. All is well. I can browse using either a wired connection or a wireless connection. I haven't tried your website yet, but I'm going there next.

I am impressed how easy this was solved. I wish I knew what I was doing. I'll work on it.
