clock and power botton disappeared

yesterday when I turned on my pc I got a message telling me something like "this thing is giving us trouble, shall we eliminate it?". I naively clicked "yes" a few times, and had clock and power button disappeared from the top right of the bar. can anyone tell me how to bring both back please...? thank you

Right click on the toolbar, select 'Add to Panel' and then select them from the list
