I am trying to put the speaker back on the panel

My Grandson removed the speaker for volume control from the top panel and I can not figure out how to put it back on. Could you please help me? Thank You I have Ubuntu 10.10

Please click in an empty area on the top panel then right click - select add to panel - search for indicator applet and click add. You should have the speaker icon back now.. ( encourage your grandson as much as you can to experiment as he is learning one of the best open source desk top environments - if not actually the best :-))
