I have deleted the network manager icon from the toolbar

Asked by Mark Lord

Hello,

I have deleted the network manager icon and sound control icon from the top toolbar by mistake and need to get it back - how do I do this I am not overly computer literate so please help!

I cannot disconnect from the wrong wireless internet connection eg BTFone when my computer starts up now and so I have to keep restarting the computer until my wireless broadband kicks in. Used to just click the network manager icon and disconnect and reconnect.

 Help please.

Thanks,

Mark Lord

Right click on empty space of panel -> add to panel
Search the list for 'notification-area'.

Regarding sound indicator, verify if the package indicator-sound is installed.
Please open a terminal: ctrl+alt+t
Type (or copy&paste in terminal):
dpkg -l indicator* |grep ii

## The list should output at least:
indicator-applet
indicator-applet-session
indicator-application
indicator-session
indicator-sound
indicator-messages
