I lost the volume/mute control on my bottom panel.

Dear Ms. DePetro,

Move your cursor to your bottom panel and right click. Select < Add to panel >. Scroll down and, just below "Force Quit" you will see "Indicator Applet." Highlight it and click on < Add >.

This procedure can also be used with the top panel. You can place whatever items you wish wherever you wish them to be. In other words, if you prefer your volume/mute control to be on the top panel, by repeating my above instructions (substituting 'top panel' for 'bottom panel'), you can place it there.
