shrink window problem

when i open a program or a page and then i look at it ,i dont close the page ,i shrink it ,when i do this it disappears to somewhere i know it is still open because if i try to open it again message says program or page still open i am using 10,10 can someone help iam sure it si just a setting i have missed

right click the panel -> add item
