The main tool bar at screen top disappears when get online

Asked by gina mauldin

The main tool bar- "APPLICATIONS PLACES SYSTEM" at left upper corner, and the time/date, volume control, MAIL icon, account name, and control icon for powering computer off, log out/in, lock screen, etc. - disappears when I get online. And there is no longer an exit 'X' or 'minimize screen' option available on the remaining toolbars. Can you help me get these back? They just disappeared about 2 or 3 days ago. I am at a complete loss. I know very little about computers. Thank you for your time.

Well, how do you like that? I just figured it out! It had to do with the workspace I was at, and I right-clicked at the top to get the drop-down 'minimize, unmaximize, etc.' and was able to select 'always on top' and 'always on visible workspace'. HUH! I just impressed myself! Thank you soooo much for your interest in trying to help.
