I installed a program called Window Selector 2.30.2. The Window Selector shows a list of all windows in a menu and lets you browse them.

With Window Selector installed and place in the tool bar I can easily retrieve any minimized windows or programs by clicking the purple Window Selector icon on the tool bar.

Hi :)

Right-click on the bottom panel and choose "Add to panel". Scroll to the bottom of the list and add "Windows List" to get something similar to Windows. The other 2 options there are worth trying (including "Windows Selector") just to see which you prefer.
