Missing indicator applet

Asked by David Burman

I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 and the applet that allows me to shut down / log out/restart/hibernate/switch users, etc. has been deleted from the Notification Panel. I can't seem to figure out how to restore it to the Notification Panel.

You should just be able to right click a bit of free space somewhere on that whole bar, and then re-add the logout applet

Sorry got being so dense, but I tried that and don't see which app will do
that. If it's that simple, please let me know. Thanks.

You can set them to stock settings like when you first started the OS with:

gconftool --recursive-unset /apps/panel && killall gnome-panel

And build back from there
