how to restore virtual desktop to panel

Hi there.
Go to the task bar (where you want your desktop indicator placed), right click with your mouse, then select "Add to panel" and in the second option (Desktop and Windows) select "Workarea Selector" (or something very similar, my Ubuntu is in castilian so I'm guessing the right translation).

I dont get an option for add a panel when I right click no matter where I put the mouse

What I had not noticed is my panel was now at the top of screen, so when I right clicked it then came up where I could add panel , I then had to replace the missing icons from the list, I used mouse and dragged the tool bar back to bottom, only thing now where I had a symbol similiar to Vista now it is the original and I dont know how to get the vista look back but got panel back anyway.
