log out/chat button on top right corner on the panel isn't there anymore

I cannot log out or access my ubuntu one account from the top right corner where the button is on the panel. It's usually there but I just found out its not anymore. I find this bug really horrible, and if not, worst of all bugs I have found. But it'd be really helpful if you actually help me solve this problem. I have replaced the lost app with the user switch applet, but still doesn't give me the benefits of the old button.

Hi justingo147,

did you check to add the applet to the panel again?
I believe it should be called indicator-applet-session.
If you cannot find it there, there exist some packages that might got de-installed from your system.
Try out to install these packages:

$ sudo aptitude install indicator-applet indicator-applet-session indicator-me indicator-messages indicator-session indicator-sound

When something was installed, logout (which you can still do under "system" in the panel) and login again.
Test now, if your logout-button is there, if not, try again to add the applet to the panel.

I'm not sure if this will give you the Ubuntu-one button back (try adding applet called indicator-me??) but you should have the login/restart/shutdown applet.
