getting back to ubuntu default panels

I have somehow manage to screw-up my default panels in ubuntu,when I minimize whatever window I am working with ,it goes to the extreme lower right of the screen which I unable to see it , even though I have panels at the top.How can I start fresh?

Go to Applications > Accessories > Terminal and paste,

rm -rf ~/.gconf/apps/panel

pkill gnome-panel

That should do it.

I tried the commands, the screen blink a few times but still no change,minimize window still goes to extreme right at bottom(unable to see).
