after updating to generic linux kernel 2.6.24.32.25 in panels fail appear or open

after updating to generic linux kernel 2.6.24.32.25 in panels fail appear or open in Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS on my AMD Athelon dual core 2x
I am currently running it in the 2.6.31.22 kernel, and it runs fine. I tried reloading the kernel, with the same result.
I cant tun dmsg since the machine doesn't run with that kernel, but here is some data from the hard info utility:
