Network Manager troubleshoot

Asked by Terry123

Ok so I can finally connect to a wireless connection without a problem. However every time I log out it states my wireless is disabled. If I restart my laptop, Im automatically able to connect again. Does any1 know if I can manually turn my wireless on , or better yet , connect automatically every time?

By deactivating my network connection I can only disable networking. Wireless networking continues to be disabled every time I log off. Sorry still need an answer. I tried using the command line with "sudo ifconfig eth0 up" but still to no avail.

Network Manager only connects on login, so a risky assumption would be that it disables/disconnects on log off. If you need the wireless to stay active, you may need to set it up in /etc/network/interfaces.
... or have I misinterpreted your problem?

Lets say that I do need to set it up in /network/interfaces how exactly would I be able to do so? There s nothing that states it would continue to log on or log off auto.
