server not found
Every time I shut down and restart I get "server not found." Then I have to go to network connections and play with it until I find a connection. Even now, it looks like I shouldn't have a connection as it is not appearing but somehow I do?

ok try this:
gksudo gedit /etc/resolv.conf
add these lines to the top of the file (above the line starting with #):
nameserver 8.8.8.8
nameserver 8.8.4.4
These are googles DNS servers and may help things, seems your ISP is having problems with DNS.
