Can't get PCMCIA wireless to work with ubuntu 7.04
I have installed ubuntu 7.04 as a dual boot on my laptop. Most things are working fine, but I can't get my belkin wireless PCMCIA card to work. The card is an F5D7010, and appears to be a broadcom chipset.
I have installed the driver using the graphical interface, but it reports 'hardware not present' although commands such as lspci and lswh seem to be able to detect it. I also tried uninstalling the graphical interface and following the instructions in https:/
I have also been through the troubleshooting page in 'wifidocs', but still can't get it to respond - in fact I don't even get the power light on the card to come on. I know the card is OK as it works fine if I boot the laptop in windows mode, and the networking works perfectly if I plug a wired ethernet connection in.
Following advice in the ndiswrapper installation instructions I have blacklisted the bcm43xx driver as this was reported not to work. I have to confess that I am stumped, and am hoping that someone can help me solve the problem. In the hope that it will help someone identify the problem, I have listed below the output of lspci, iwconfig and lswh
