change wireless password

Asked by tony ogborn

When I log on, a prompt asks for my password to enable the wireless network. How do I change this password so it is different from my main password, in case someone else wants to use my computer to access the Internet?
Also, how do I make the computer automatically connect to the Internet when it turns on?
Thanks in advance.

Go to /home/username/.gnome2/

And rename the keyrings directory.

Then the next time you log in, you'll be prompted to set up a keyring password. Leave the password blank.

I still need help, being totally new to Ubuntu.
I need step-by-step help, I'm afraid.
For the first step, I went to Places/home directory, and with my username Tony, could not find anything named ".gnome2".
Is this what you mean?
Could you please help me further.

Regards
Tony

It's a hidden folder. In your file browser (Nautilus), go to the View menu and tick Show Hidden Files. Then go into .gnome2, right click on the keyrings folder and rename it to something else.
