how do i run programs after install

downloaded secondlife and can not run program. don't know how or whart to do,i did find out how to install it

Try this type secondlife in a terminal.Hope this does it as i never played the game.

Is secondlife written for Windows? If so then try installing Wine (Wine Is Not an Emulator, as it uses a much more sophisticated approach that is usually much dfaster than any emulator could be) and see if that helps.

There is a Linux version. I saw that is a .tar.bz2 type file.

extract it using $tar xvjf <filename>
go to directory using $cd <dir name>
type $./configure and enter
compile it using $make
instal $make install

run program
