Run:

echo "options rt2800pci nohwcrypt=1" | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/ rt2800pcifix.conf > /dev/null

Reboot to test. If there is no improvement, run:

sudo rm /etc/modprobe.d/ rt2800pci.conf

Then reboot to roll back.

Thanks actionparsnip, unfortunately it didn't work

Sorry, random space added here. Try:

echo "options rt2800pci nohwcrypt=1" | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/rt2800pcifix.conf > /dev/null

Then reboot. Same roll back process applies

it dosn't seam to have made the wifi any worse. It still works for a short time before it drops off

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Danny for more information if necessary.
