Try:

echo "options iwlwifi 11n_disable=1" | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/ iwlwififix.conf > /dev/null

Reboot to test

That completely disabled my ability to connect (reset by changing variable value to 0 and restarting)

Or just delete the file.

Jeremy (wa113y3s) said : #4

In terminal, try the following command

sudo sed -i 's/wifi.powersave = 3/wifi.powersave = 2/' /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/default-wifi-powersave-on.conf && systemctl restart network-manager.service

If that doesn't work also try a variation of actionparsnips command

echo "options iwlwifi 11n_disable=8" | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/iwlwififix.conf

Reboot, the 11n_disable=8 enables aggressive tx and can improve your download speed

Your Terminal output shows at least 2 issues:

1)

                    Channel:1
                    Frequency:2.412 GHz (Channel 1)

Please log into the homepage of your router and change the wireless channel from channel 1 to channel 4, in order to avoid wireless interference from all the other access points.

2)

wlan0 IEEE 802.11bgn ESSID:"Wubalubadubdub 2.4"
          Mode:Managed Frequency:2.412 GHz Access Point: EC:1A:59:8D:82:BD
          Bit Rate=65 Mb/s Tx-Power=14 dBm

The wireless transmission speed of 65 Mb/s is probably destabilizing your wireless Internet connection.

Please log into the homepage of your router and change the wireless transmission speed to Wireless-G (54 Mb/s) speeds, to stabilize the connection.

Hope it helps you.
