Can you ping 8.8.8.8 OK?
Do you use a proxy for Web access?

Have you rebooted the router? Pull the power out and back in

If you receive a request to authenticate at the router, then this seems to be caused by settings in your router.
Have you verified the configuration inside your router?
Which IP address do you have locally in Windows, and which one do you have in Ubuntu?
192.168.1.222 is showing my ubuntu and as i checked in my partner pc which have window 7 : 192.168.1.205

If you get a request to log in to the router, can you log in there?
If you enter "www.google.com" in the browser's address field and press enter, what happens? Does the address stay as it is, or is it replaced by something different?

yes i can login there and if i enter www.google.com it is redirecting me into www.google.
