Wireless internet won't work on Ubuntu 17.04 Lenovo Thinkpad T1510

Asked by Andreas Kohl

Did everything listed on https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WirelessTroubleshootingProcedure

Please also specify the exact model and make of your PC (if known) when creating the new Launchpad question. : Lenovo T510 (Also just did a fresh install on a T520 where the WIFI works just fine).

Please also specify the name of the wireless access point that you are trying to connect to (not the model/make of your router). :
IVITIM

Please also clarify if you installed Ubuntu to the harddisk and are running from a harddisk install OR if you are only testing Ubuntu in a Live CD session. : Just installed to harddisk, and running from harddisk.

Here's the output:

Seems to be just disabled. If you have a switch or shortcut to enable/disable wireless then press it.

Maybe you did everything else from the wireless troubleshooting procedure, but you did not follow the instructions above step 1:

Please first connect your network card to the wireless router using an ethernet cable (also known as a LAN cable) and apply all updates.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Andreas Kohl for more information if necessary.
