Maybe https://askubuntu.com/a/702443 helps, or any other recommendation in that thread

Your Terminal output shows the following issue:

Linux gravity-computings 4.2.0-42-generic #49~14.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jun 29 20:22:11 UTC

  *-network UNCLAIMED
       description: Network controller
       product: QCA9377 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter

03:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter [168c:0042] (rev 30)

======================================================================================================

A quick look in the table in

https://wikidevi.com/wiki/List_of_Wi-Fi_Device_IDs_in_Linux

shows that your wireless adapter (168c_0042) is only supported by kernel version v4.4 or newer and supported by wireless driver ath10k.

But your PC is running kernel version 4.2 which is too old.

So I suggest running the following Terminal commands using a WORKING, wirED Internet connection:

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install linux-headers-4.4.0-31-generic linux-image-4.4.0-31-generic linux-image-extra-4.4.0-31-generic

Then reboot and retest wireless.

If that does not help, I suggest testing Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS in a LiveUSB session where wireless should work out-of-the-box.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Suhas More for more information if necessary.
