Cannot connect wirelessly using Linksys WPC300n wireless adapter

This is the info I receive. Obviously I am a newbie. Need help.

From your information, you does not configure the adaptor to connnect to your wireless Access Point ? Please configure your ESSID first using "iwconfig eth2 essid <AP's ESSID>
