enable ath5k mod wireless button hidden

Asked by Rosa Malaga on 2017-04-04

I have been looking all over trying to solve my problem not being able to connect to WiFi. I hope that someone can help. I have no wireless information nor enable wireless button on my system menu; however, if I enter " sudo modprobe ath9k" I can then enable the wireless network and see local WiFi networks. When I try to connect to my WiFi, it just keeps asking for my password. Passoword is correct and other devices connect without a problem. I am running Zorin on a 32 bit laptop. Here is some further info:

Zorin is not supported by the Ubuntu community in any way. It's support community is entirely separate from Ubuntu's.

I suggest you post on the Zorin forum:
http://zoringroup.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=3

None of the "Ubuntu based" distributions are supported by the Ubuntu community

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Rosa Malaga for more information if necessary.
