get HP 670C local Printer up and printing and connected

Asked by Kelly Busche

"Not Connected? Printer HP 670C may not be connected.

from system -> printer -> admin -> printing

I added HP 670C as default

but with lpr file, the hp670C does not print or even hum.

I keep getting the (sort of) error message 'Not connected? Deskjet-670C may not be connected.

Is the problem because I don't have a wireless device?
my fault, but not sure where.

thanks

If you use wireless to connect to your printer, then you'll need to set up wireless to connect to it.

If you're lucky enough for it all to be working, then wireless networks should be available by clicking the network manager applet, near the date and speaker icons.

Wireless is difficult to set up on Linux. Some general pointers are on this page:

Not all wireless cards are supported. A list of supported hardware is here:

Can you help with this problem?
