Little tip, if you become root with "sudo -i" then you don't need to use sudo as you are root. Sudo has a grace period as well (10 mins or so). Any subsequent commands ran prefixed with sudo will not re-request your password, so "sudo -i" in this case is completely redundant if you are going to add sudo to every command, even as root.

It's a common confusion.
