no wireless interface

Asked by Jason Morgan

I reinstalled Ubuntu 16.04 and the wireless network would not connect. I tried automatic and manual configurations , but neither would take. My guess is the driver, because of all of the software i had to erase from the HDD. The system was broken and there were few options. I'm still a Linux Noob and I could really use some help with this one..... Here,s the output for my network=

If you install wicd and remove network manager then reboot, you can set the wireless interface name (wlo1 in your case). Does it then work OK?

Alternatively you can use udev rules to get the wireless interface named as wlan0 and network manager will probably see it.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Jason Morgan for more information if necessary.
