The wireless interface has an IP and so does the wired. If you disconnect the Ethernet and run:

ping -c 4 8.8.8.8

Do you get replies?

Thanks

Please try the following fix:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=13119513#post13119513

So run this Terminal command:

echo "options rtl8723be fwlps=N ips=N" | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/rtl8723be.conf

Then reboot and retest wireless.
