You can add a line in /etc/fstab to make /tmp exist.

Have you tried plugging your mouse into a different USB port?

Have you tested your RAM using Memtest86 from GRUB?

My fstab content is:

# <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
# / was on /dev/sda7 during installation
UUID=c319d9d5-4d07-47e2-a925-25149e38ca83 / ext4 errors=remount-ro 0 1
# swap was on /dev/sda5 during installation
UUID=840f40a9-ba8e-43bc-af02-252f6007a5e9 none swap sw 0 0

and my blkid output is:

/dev/sda1: UUID="9107776b-56cc-4219-9d1b-c5f99c2699b0" TYPE="ext4"
/dev/sda5: UUID="840f40a9-ba8e-43bc-af02-252f6007a5e9" TYPE="swap"
/dev/sda6: UUID="44E4E48D0CB6E3D7" TYPE="ntfs"
/dev/sda7: UUID="c319d9d5-4d07-47e2-a925-25149e38ca83" TYPE="ext4"
