Ubunto 14.04.3 LTS no network device dell inspiron 1501 Help?

Asked by James

I am new to Ubuntu. I installed Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS on a Dell Inspiron 1501 and i have no network devices showing. I cannot connect to a LAN or a wireless network. Can someone help me? I went to the Ubuntu wireless troubleshooter and ran the script it said to. This what I got:

Please try this solution:

https://askubuntu.com/questions/324898/no-wired-or-wireless-networking-available-on-ubuntu-12-04-wired-work-from-liveu

That procedure should fix both wired and wireless after rebooting.

If not, execute the following solution procedure afterwards:

https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-nettool/+question/247745

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask James for more information if necessary.
