Make sure you typing correct SSID (network name), check your hotspot for SSID broadcats setting.
It may be disabled. In this case you need to enter network name manually.

DG630 and other Dlink products are poorly supported by their companies.Try any linksys card.

I found that some Linksys cards have poor support, I changed over to a Netgear card, works out of the box.

Prism and Atheros based cards usually work out of the box. For Linksys, most of them don't (try using Ndiswrapper).
