wireless adapter suddenly appears to have stopped showing available networks

Asked by Ron Studd

Running 15.10 on a Dell Latitude laptop - I've confirmed that the wifi indicator is lit up and isn't turned on airplane mode. This was working up until yesterday and stopped working then. I'm no longer able to see any wireless networks to join and it just seems like the wireless radio isn't working for some reason. OS is installed on HDD. Followed the troubleshooter :

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WirelessTroubleshootingProcedure

And pasted the output below. Please advise - thank you!
