b43-phy0 ERROR: Firmware file "b43/ucode5.fw" request failed (err=-12) -> Wireless Network controller [0280]: Broadcom Corporation BCM4311 802.11b/g WLAN [14e4:4311] (rev 01) not working on Dell Vostro 1520 in Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS

Asked by Ray

XP connects to the wireless, UBUNTU does not seem to recognize the card is available. Have tried several suggestions, but the card is still not showing as an internet access point like the Ethernet port.

Dell Vostro 1520 dual booting XP Pro and UBUNTU on harddrive. Wireless access point is "Radio wire 2"

sudo apt-get install firmware-b43-installer

Thanks Manfred
