sudo modprobe iwlwifi

Does the wifi work ok?

No, dosnt work. I can load the driver, but wifi dosnt work. I have tried a USB Wifi from Belkin with a Realtek RTL8192CU Chipset, it works "out of the Box"
But the internal Wifi dosnt work

I can confirm that the Intel Wireless 7260 AC NIC in a TP300LA (PCI vendor/device ID 8086 08b1, subvendor/device 8086 4c70) does not get accepted by the iwlwifi driver (using iwldvm). I tried to write these IDs to /sys/bus/pci/drivers/iwlwifi/new_id, but somehow I get EINVAL back.

Affects 3.13-ish and even the current daily 3.17.0-999.201409152205 from the kernel PPA.

Apply this patch to make it work, it will end up in Linux 3.17 and get backported to 3.10+
