In Traceroute "no reply *"

Asked by gmhorvath

What does the Hostname: no, IP: reply, Time: * line means in a trace route result mean? Could I still learn the name of this host, since it means 100 % pocket loss at the same time? Could the masking mean, that somebody else is using my net connection?

Hello

traceroute is a computer network tool used to determine the route taken by packets across an IP network. An IPv6 variant, traceroute6, is also widely available.Very useful to trace IP packets.
