Wireless Internet in Ubuntu 12.04

Asked by Morten Hansen

Hello!

I have a Linksys AE1200 802.11bgn Wireless Adapter.
- But I can still only connect to the internet with a cable...

How can I tell Ubuntu that I have this wireless adapter that I want to use to connect to the internet with?

Thanks for your help... :-)

Here is all my information from the terminal:

Doesn't appear to be shown. Is it a USB adapter? Do you dual boot the system?

Thanks

Hi..

"Doesn't appear to be shown"??

It is a USB adapter

I do not have a dual boat on my maschine - I only have ubuntu 12.04.

I think I have install the right driver for it since I can find it with the command lsusb:

I think you maybe are right about that
- maybe my PC can't run wireless internet??

- The PC is not new but its working fine - until now I have run internet with a cable...
But now I have no other posibilities than to run wireless..

It looks like there is no wireless controller?

Is there no other solution than to buy a new computer?
