what the hell is tered0 ?

12.04 has entered aweird object into the WiFi connection area . . Called "tered0" It is not WiFi or eth0 or the wlan0 . . And How do I remove it . . Another problem with 12.04 to report this is getting to be a pain in the you know where !
10.10 NEVER had problems like this even 11.04 did not have problems like this . . Who ever you added to the makers of Ubuntu after 11.04 sure took a major wrong turn . .

"teredo" (usually with o) is an interface for the IPv6 tunnelling service Teredo.
If allows you to use IPv6 even when there is only IPv4 provided by your ISP.
The device is present, once the software is installed. But it has to be configured to work.

You can uninstall the software with
sudo apt-get purge miredo

BTW: This is a feature, not a problem!

that is what I put as a letter looks different o and 0 are different . . what is the software that goes with this TERED0 ? . . Or do I go wandering thrugh the package manager to find it ?
