Hi,

There are lots of things that can cause Wifi problems. Follow the instructions at the link below and if your are still having problems copy and paste all the results back here. Its a lot of information, don't worry if you can't understand it all. Somebody here will and we can usually help.

Can you also let us know if you are trying Ubuntu out on a Live CD etc, or if Ubuntu is installed on your hard drive.

There was no need to open a new question. You could have pasted the results back here,

I note that the problem is with your broadcom Wifi card and that actionparsnip has already solved the problem for you in question #206407.

Please mark this and question #206408 which is a duplicate #206407 as solved unless you have any further issues.

Have you tried following the instructions here

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/bcm43xx

What was the result?

Can you also open a terminal and provide us with the output of the following command

sudo iwlist scan

OK this has established your wifi card is a

Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Controller

and your PCI-ID is 14e4:4727 which unfortunately is not currently supported see

http://www.linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/b43#Supported_devices

One option would be to buy a USB Wifi dongle. Some models work better than others however

Check the list at the link below to ensure the one you buy has been tested first

I have just had a search with Google and the problem appears to be Jupiter. I have found a few people with the same problem.

I have no experience of Jupiter so I suggest you close this question and open a new one:

Wifi disabled by Jupiter how do I re-enable?

This you put you back at the top of the list and may get a response from someone who has used this package

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Shravan Kumar for more information if necessary.
